Counter Surveillance
Counter Surveillance can be used for a variety of different reasons but it is most often utilised in a protective capacity on behalf of our principal.
Counter Surveillance
Counter surveillance is a type of surveillance most commonly used to identify other surveillance teams who may have a particular target or principal under surveillance.
It is usually instructed by an individual who thinks they may be being followed or watched by a hostile third party. Counter surveillance is essentially when the “hunter becomes the hunted".
A counter surveillance team is deployed to identify if the target or principle is under hostile surveillance.
It can also be deployed as part of a close protection task where the subject is unaware that they have a close protection team following them. This is done, not to report back their activities, but incase that person comes under any kind of threat so the operatives can step in to protect them.
